2 day/1 night Rural Tour to Purushwadi, Dehna or Valwanda villages from Mumbai

Purushwadi Village is located 200 kms from Mumbai (4.5 hours) and Pune. Since the distance is long it is recommended that you go for 2 day / 1-night rural tour package. The inhabitants of the village belong to the Mahadeo Koli tribe. The natives are warm and friendly towards the tourists. Dehna is 130 kms from Mumbai and Valwanda is 125 kms from Mumbai. Valwanda in Thane district is known for its famous Warli Art.

The 2-day itinerary for all the 3 villages are almost the same. Here you can live rural life to the fullest as you interact with the natives and also take part in farm activities such as harvesting, sowing and chaffing. The dedicated tour guides explain to you about the different life aspects of the natives and their activities. You will also have simply yet tasty meals made by the natives.

Apart from farming activities you can take part in other related activities such as milking the cow, making food, chop wood and plaster cow dung. You will also be taken for a 5-6 km trek to explore the beautiful surroundings. Many tourists also take a dip in the cool river. At night you can sit around the bonfire and play games or play music and sing.

There are several sport options to do with the natives such as playing kabaddi, kho kho, tire race and marbles. Emphasis during the whole tour is on team building and leadership activities.
