Customised City Tours

In the last few years, the tourism industry has witnessed a considerable boost in India, rising by almost 25 per cent. Taking advantage of the situation, Mumbai’s travel operator too have begun offering clients what they call ‘experiential holidays’ apart from the usual attractions. These packages offer visitors and locals a combination of comfortable settings and customised along with an opportunity to get a feel of the city.
In the last few years customized tours have gained favor among Mumbai visitors. Temple Tour

Includes a visit to the Afghan Church, Babulnath Temple and ISKON Temple. It offers customers a traditional and spiritual journey through the city.The objective is to give visitors a feel of the city’s cosmopolitan culture.

 

Mumbai Special Tour

Includes a visit to the local slum. The original plan was to call it the Slumdog Tour after the Oscar-winning movie, that made slums a must visit. The tour gives visitors a glimpse of life of a slumdweller. Most come
away humbled by the experience.

 

Mumbai Market Tour

The tour covers Crawford Market, Jama Masjid (India’s oldest Muslim community), Mirchi Galli (spices market), Mangaldas Cloth Market, Zaveri Bazaar (where everyone’s crazy about gold), Phool Galli (Flower Street), Mumbadevi Temple (where the city gets its name from), and the quaint Madhav Baug. Visitors take a walk through vibrant street markets and experience the multi-cultural mix of mosques, temples and Jain derasars, different cuisines apart from the sheer energy of the place.

 

Chor Bazaar


The place has a range of products to offer, from genuine bargains to mass produced junk. The walk also includes a visit to Gol Deoul, the circular Shiva temple and Null Bazaar (fruits, vegetables, meat and fish). Tour members also meet the Kolis, the original fisihing community of Mumbai and steal a glimpse into the life of the Bohra Muslim community. The tour also provides an opportunity to observe authentic Muslim cooking.
